Abstract: In the following paper questions how to increase an effi ciency of renewable energy sources in power supply systems are considered. Th e new additional criterion in choosing a combination of renewable energy sources is off ered — the operational risk of consumer’s electricity (ORCE), which takes into account the random nature of changes in weather conditions. Design procedure ORCE based on application of the portfolio analysis theory is developed.
